Do you need to be fit or athletic to participate?Winter Forest Bathing and Forest Bathing walks take place on easy, level ground. We usually cover less than a mile, and the experience is easily accessible to everyone.Riverwalking requires balance as the river bottom is not smooth or flat everywhere. We give you a staff to help you balance in the river. The depth of the water you move through can make it easier or more challenging. You always have a choice.
What is your booking policy? We ask that you give us 24-hour notice so we can plan for you and your party accordingly.
What is your cancellation policy for Winter Forest Bathing?
Winter temperatures can vary greatly and therefore our cancellation policy is different for this eco-trip. Should the forecast call for windy temperatures below 12F degrees, we will offer a shorter experience or may need to cancel altogether. We will communicate with you the night before should we need to cancel. If available we will reschedule for the following day.
What is your cancellation policy for Riverwalking & Forest Bathing?
We limit our group sizes to eight to ten people to ensure a rich and attentive experience for everyone. Due to limited availability of Riverwalking and Forest Bathing trips – two trips a week – our cancellation policy is the following: Cancellations received 14 days or more before your trip date: we will issue a full refund. Cancellations received 13 days or less before trip date: no refund. We run Riverwalking and Forest Bathing eco-trips “shine or showers”. Should the forecast call for thunderstorms, an optional alternative will be to start later, if possible for everyone. We will contact you the day before if we need to discuss alternate timing or programming. Should we not be able to start later, we will give you a voucher for a future eco- trip. Your voucher will not have an expiration date.
We are a family coming to the Adirondacks and would like to have an exclusive guided trip. Can you make it happen? We are happy to schedule a private guided trip for two to 20 people. We may need a little extra notice so try to call us more than 48 hours before your trip to ensure we can accommodate you.
What other types of group trips have you led? We have led guided trips for groups of friends, work colleagues, board members of organizations and are looking forward to leading wedding parties this year for a little R+R before the big day.
We can also add a relaxing and gentle to moderate outdoor yoga class to a Riverwalking trip. Great views and a spacious meadow are our setting, with all props provided and an awning for those who might prefer shade. Depending on our location, we might be able to add yoga to a Forest Bathing guided trip as well. Contact us to explore a private guided trip.
