COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Do you need to be fit or athletic to participate?
Winter Forest Bathing and Forest Bathing walks take place on easy, level ground. We usually cover less than a mile, and the experience is easily accessible to everyone. Riverwalking requires balance as the river bottom is not smooth or flat everywhere. We give you a staff to help you balance in the river. The depth of the water you move through can make it easier or more challenging and you choose where you are comfortable.

What is your booking policy?
We recommend booking early for to ensure availability on the day of your choice. We have guided trips with less than 24-hour notice but cannot guarantee availability. Do give us a try! We will do our best.

What is your cancellation policy for Winter Forest Bathing?
Winter temperatures can vary greatly and therefore our cancellation policy is different for this trip. Should the forecast call for temperatures below 10F degrees, we will offer a shorter experience or may need to cancel altogether. We will communicate with you the night before to discuss options and alternatives such as a different day. Should we need to cancel altogether or if you are not available for the next day, we will issue you a voucher for the full amount that is valid for two years.

What is your cancellation policy for Riverwalking?
We limit our group size to eight people to ensure a rich and attentive experience for everyone. Due to limited availability of Riverwalking trips, our cancellation policy is the following: Cancellations received 14 days or more before your trip date: we will issue a full refund. Cancellations received 13 days or less before trip date: we issue for a voucher for the full amount minus $25 administrative fee. The voucher is good for 2 years.

NOTE: We run Riverwalking and Forest Bathing eco-trips “shine or showers”. Should the forecast call for thunderstorms, an alternative may be to start later, if possible for everyone. We will contact you the day before if we need to discuss alternate timing or programming.
Should we not be able to start later, we will issue you a voucher for a future eco- trip good for two years from the date of your trip.

What other types of group trips have you led?
We have led guided trips for groups of friends, work colleagues, board members of organizations and are looking forward to leading wedding parties this year for a little R+R before the big day. We can also add a relaxing restorative outdoor yoga class to a Riverwalking trip. Great views and a spacious meadow are our setting, with all props provided and an awning for those who might prefer shade. Contact us to discuss custom experiences.
