Riverwalking will allow you to discover the joy of being in moving water, feel the flowing current, and take in the sounds of the river and the beauty of the Sentinel Range of the Adirondack Mountains. We also develop programs for groups that range from 3 hours to several days, which include learning about the health benefits of nature sensory practices and how to take them home, whether you live in a city, a small town or in the country.
LOCATION + MEETING PLACE
Our Riverwalking location on the Ausable River is 5 miles outside the village of Lake Placid. We meet at a designated area nearby to keep the amount of traffic to a minimum in an effort to protect the natural environment. After registering, you will receive a confirmation letter that includes directions to our meeting location and recommendations for what to wear and bring. Riverwalking came into existence here in the Adirondacks in 2016 - but the idea of Riverwalking was several years in the making and, was inspired by the beauty and the calming nature of the river.
